Life's a constant farewell,
you're the last shining light 
fluttering in a heart whose shell
has broken ashore in its sheer strife.

Scraps of pearls falter in misery,
if only I could cherish but you
to the very last note of our story.

The hurt feeds the hatred, 
uncountable scraps I had warped 
so we could lavish in our demeaning bane 
for existence is faint and vain.

In the distance a melody resounds with the veil of an old broken beauty, like poison languishing in our tongues. Dead dreams glooming in lost tears whipping the flesh of my false beliefs my punishment is to catter the seven seas.
